Radio Training & Radio Procedures

This course is designed for anyone who in the course of their day to day duties is required to use a two-way radio or base unit system whether they are security officers, close protection officers or construction workers.

Aim

To introduce delegates to security two-way radios system and the useage and operating procedures.

Objectives

By the end of the session delegates will be able to:

• Explain and demonstrate the basic care and functions of a radio, battery pack and charger.
• Explain and demonstrate an understanding of the situation prior to the use of air wave radios.
• Explain and demonstrate an understanding of the use of radio systems.
• Explain the scope of policy and procedure.
• Explain the circumstances of use policy and procedures.
• Explain and demonstrate radio and channels procedures.
• Explain and demonstrate the phonetic alphabet and radio etiquette.
• Participate in a live exercise to confirm full understanding of the use of a two way radio system.
