Who is this course designed for?
The course is ideal for people with no martial arts background and is an excellent complimentary skill set for security and law enforcement officers, as well as experienced personnel from military backgrounds.
The major objective of any confrontation is to ensure your safety without taking life or severely injuring the assailant. During training, clients are taught how to gain complete control of an assailant using the techniques taught.
Aims
A One Day Course on dealing with weapon attacks
To instruct & equip delegates in the art of disarming techniques for a array of different edged weapons & fire arms.
Disarming techniques against a knife /fire arms disarming other weapon attacks such as baseball bats, snooker cues, chairs, bottles etc.
Dealing with close quarter attacks. from the front & rear

Our classes, instructional techniques, are the objective to facilitate self-actualisation through the learning process of the physical, psychological, and survival skills that are offered on the course.
The training is designed in such a way that every level of skill receives extremely beneficial practice and achieves quick results.
Course Objectives
- Learn to work as a team on two person disarming techniques.
- Discuss the legal implications of the use of reasonable force.
- Learn Health & Safety Implications
- Understand the different ways of dealing with blunt, sharp/edged weapons. and
fire arms - Know the correct & safest ways to disarm a perpetrator from strangle holds when
edged weapon and fire arms are used. - Understand the correct way to safely disarm an assailant using a knife/baseball
bat/bottles etc, & to remove the weapon from the assailant so that it no longer
poses a threat to yourself and others - Learn disarming techniques whilst on the ground.
- Learn the correct & safest way to defend against weapons when seated behind a
desk, & how to defend against an attack by an assailant in a closed area. - Learn how to deal with an armed perpetrator trying to hi-jack you & your vehicle.
- Learn how to assess, & use thought process thus working out what may be used to defend and assess the quickest possible escape route, to minimise the confrontation.
- Learn disarming techniques against various static use of weapons (e.g. knife being
held at the throat, back etc). - Learn disarming against various movement of weapons (e.g. thrust to the upper
and lower body. - Learn the correct way of applying a restraint on an armed perpetrator.
- The “what if's” in a situation.
- What to do in a hostage situation/ incident.
